Polyimide non-woven fabric composite base felt
① High-temperature resistance:
The composite base felt can work for a long time at 250°C - 300°C or even higher temperatures, and can withstand high temperatures above 400°C in a short time.
It can maintain excellent physical and mechanical properties and dimensional stability at high temperatures.
② Excellent chemical stability:
It has good resistance to most organic solvents (such as alcohols, ketones, esters, and hydrocarbons).
Resistant to strong acids (such as dilute sulfuric acid, hydrochloric acid) and weak bases.
Resistant to oil and grease.
Excellent hydrolysis resistance.
③ Excellent mechanical properties:
High strength and high modulus: Even at high temperatures, it can maintain good tensile strength, tear strength, and abrasion resistance.
Good flexibility and elasticity: The non-woven structure gives the material certain compression resilience and adaptability.
Good dimensional stability: Low coefficient of thermal expansion, small deformation under temperature changes.
④ Excellent electrical insulation:
High dielectric strength and volume resistivity.
It can still maintain good insulation performance in high-temperature and high-frequency environments.
Low dielectric constant and low dielectric loss.
⑤ Good flame retardancy and low smoke toxicity:
Polyimide itself has inherent flame retardancy (high limiting oxygen index, usually >38%), and is not easy to burn.
The amount of smoke emitted during combustion is extremely low, and the toxic gases released are very few, meeting strict fire safety requirements (such as aviation, rail transit).

The material itself and its porous structure give it certain thermal insulation properties.
⑦ Good filtration and air permeability:
The non-woven/felt structure provides controllable porosity and pore size distribution, giving it excellent air permeability and particle filtration capabilities (especially high-temperature dust).

It has good stability to radiation such as γ-rays, X-rays, and electron beams, and its performance degrades slowly in radiation environments.

1. High-temperature flue gas filtration
Used to manufacture high-temperature dust removal filter bags and filter cartridges, applied in:
Tail dust removal in coal-fired power plants, waste incineration power plants, and biomass boilers.
High-temperature smoke and dust treatment in steel plants (sintering, blast furnace, converter, electric furnace), cement plants (kiln head, kiln tail), and non-ferrous metal smelters (aluminum, copper).

Due to its high tear strength and flame-retardant stability, polyimide composite base fabric felt is used to manufacture special transportation cases. Its surface is laminated with a fluorine coating to improve chemical corrosion resistance, making it suitable for defense equipment, dangerous goods transportation, and other scenarios. Aramid webbing is used to reinforce the seams of the case, ensuring the integrity of the overall structure in extreme environments.
