Application of pre-oxidized fiberglass insulation felt in refrigerators

Core characteristics of pre-oxidized fiber insulation

(Visual) Appearance is flat and uniform, no holes, no dirt, tears, or bright spots.

1. Flame retardant and fireproof, high temperature resistant

The pre-oxidized fiber needled non-woven fabric has a high limiting oxygen index. When encountering an open flame, it does not burn, has no dripping, and releases no toxic gases. It directly carbonizes to form a heat insulation barrier, preventing the spread of fire.

Long-term temperature resistance of 200-300℃, instantaneous temperature resistance of 1000℃, suitable for high-temperature environments.

2. Skin-friendly, soft, and non-irritating

The pre-oxidized fiber insulation cotton is soft and skin-friendly, lightweight, easy to fold and cut, and suitable for cutting into various specifications and sizes.

3. Other characteristics

Insulating and non-conductive, shock-absorbing and sound-absorbing.

Core advantages of pre-oxidized fiber insulation in air conditioning refrigerators

Application of pre-oxidized fiber insulation in refrigerators/cold chain equipment

①Cabinet insulation layer: Embedded in the six sides of the refrigerator cabinet wall (side walls, top plate, bottom plate, back plate between the inner and outer shells), forming a continuous heat insulation barrier, blocking the intrusion of external environmental heat, and reducing cold loss.

②Door seal insulation: Embed strip-shaped pre-oxidized fiber cotton inside the sealing strip to fill the small gaps in the door seams and block cold air leakage hotspots.

③Drain pipe through-cabinet hole: Filling the hole with water-repellent pre-oxidized fiber cotton blocks solves the problem of cold leakage and condensation in the holes.

1. High-efficiency heat insulation and energy saving

The thermal conductivity of pre-oxidized fiber felt is only 0.023 W/(m·K) at room temperature, and ≤0.036 W/(m·K) at 300℃.

By reducing the loss of heat exchange, it significantly reduces the energy consumption of the continuous operation of the air conditioning compressor and improves the energy efficiency ratio.

2. Fire safety protection

Pre-oxidized fiber itself is flame-retardant (no dripping, self-extinguishing after leaving the fire), avoiding fire risks caused by electrical short circuits or high-temperature components, and ensuring the safety of goods in the container.

3. Space and lightweight optimization

The thickness of the insulation cotton supports customization, which can save space inside the air conditioning cabinet and facilitate compact design. Moreover, the insulation cotton itself is lightweight, which greatly ensures transportation efficiency and improves storage space capacity.

4. Noise reduction and durability improvement

The pre-oxidized fiber structure can absorb medium and high-frequency noise, reducing the operating noise of the fan and compressor.

Water-repellent and moisture-proof (water repellency ≥99%), anti-aging life is 8-10 times that of conventional materials, suitable for long-term use in humid environments.

Core advantages of pre-oxidized fiber insulation in air conditioning refrigerators

Low thermal conductivity

Air conditioning refrigerators are constantly faced with condensation water erosion. Traditional materials (such as PU, EPS) have a 30-50% increase in thermal conductivity after moisture absorption, leading to increased energy consumption;

→ The molecular-level water-repellent structure of pre-oxidized fiber (contact angle >150°) keeps the thermal conductivity stable in a 95% humidity environment, eliminating the risk of "insulation layer failure".

Safety and fire prevention

The temperature of the air conditioning compressor compartment can reach 120℃+, and electrical components are prone to short circuits and fires;

→ Pre-oxidized fiber is resistant to 450℃ high temperature and does not release toxic gases. Compared with PU combustion releasing hydrogen cyanide (lethal concentration 50ppm) and rubber and plastic releasing chlorine gas, the safety level is significantly higher.

Supports customized design to release space

→ The effective volume of the refrigerator directly affects the commercial value. 3mm pre-oxidized fiber = 25mm rubber and plastic insulation effect, single cabinet capacity increase of 8-12% (for a 500L refrigerator, releasing 40-60L of space).

In the field of air conditioning refrigerators, pre-oxidized fiber, with its moisture-proof, fire-proof, and high-efficiency triple advantages, has become an innovative material to replace traditional insulation materials, especially suitable for high-humidity environments, compact designs, and long-life requirements of high-end refrigeration equipment.

Pre-oxidized fiber insulation makes air conditioning refrigerators energy-efficient

The thermal conductivity of pre-oxidized fiber cotton is extremely low, achieving energy efficiency for air conditioning refrigerators through the following methods:

①Significantly reduce heat conduction and reduce cold loss. As a cold storage cabinet insulation layer, it can more effectively block the transfer of external heat to the inside of the cabinet, greatly reducing the loss of cold air. This means that the temperature inside the refrigerator is easier to maintain at the set value.

②Reduce compressor workload and running time. Due to the reduced cold loss, the refrigeration system of the refrigerator (mainly the compressor) needs to start less frequently, and the running time for each operation will also be shortened.

③Maintain a more stable internal temperature. The efficient insulation layer can buffer the impact of external temperature changes on the inside of the cabinet. When the door is opened or the ambient temperature fluctuates, the pre-oxidized fiber cotton can better maintain the stability of the low-temperature environment inside the cabinet. At the same time, small temperature fluctuations also mean that the compressor does not need to start and stop frequently to compensate for the temperature rise, further saving energy and extending the service life of the equipment.

④Allow the use of thinner insulation layers. The high thermal insulation efficiency of pre-oxidized fiber cotton means that to achieve the same insulation effect as traditional insulation materials, a thinner insulation layer can be used. Increase effective volume: With the same external dimensions, the cabinet walls become thinner, and the internal usable space increases. Reduce external dimensions: With the same internal volume, the overall refrigerator can be made smaller and more compact, saving space. This is especially valuable for commercial spaces (such as convenience stores and supermarkets) where space is at a premium.

Pre-oxidized fiber insulation makes air conditioning refrigerators water-repellent and moisture-proof

Pre-oxidized fiber insulation cotton itself has water-repellent properties, achieving water-repellent and moisture-proof effects for air conditioning refrigerators through the following methods:

①The water-repellent property of pre-oxidized fiber cotton can resist the direct wetting of liquid water.

②When pre-oxidized cotton wool is filled into the cavity between the inner and outer shells of the refrigerator, it needs to reach the design density. Sufficient density can reduce air convection and the risk of moisture being carried by airflow, and it can also better support the structure. All seams, screw holes, and cable inlets of the refrigerator outer shell need to be well sealed (such as applying sealant) to prevent external water vapor or liquid from directly entering.

③The quality and sealing of the door seal (pre-oxidized cotton wool seal) are crucial. It directly prevents the leakage of moist air inside the refrigerator and the infiltration of external air (which may contain moisture), thereby reducing the overall moisture load of the insulation system.

Pre-oxidized cotton wool insulation and heat insulation cotton reduces noise and vibration of air conditioning refrigerators

Pre-oxidized cotton wool has sound insulation and noise reduction functions, which are achieved through the following methods to reduce noise and vibration of air conditioning refrigerators:

①Improve insulation and reduce compressor start-stop frequency. The insulation and heat insulation performance of pre-oxidized cotton wool can effectively reduce the loss of cold air through the box wall, making the cabinet temperature more stable, thereby significantly reducing the frequency of compressor starts and the duration of each operation. This is the most effective way for pre-oxidized cotton wool to reduce refrigerator noise because it directly reduces the number of times and the duration of the noise source.

②Absorb some high-frequency noise. The porous structure of pre-oxidized cotton fibers has a certain absorption effect on high-frequency noise transmitted through the air (such as the hissing sound of refrigerant flow and some motor howling), which can slightly weaken these high-frequency components.

③Damping vibration transmission. Pre-oxidized cotton wool itself is relatively soft and has a certain elasticity. When pasted on the inner wall of the refrigerator shell or around the compressor compartment, it can: Isolate part of the vibration transmission: Obstruct the mechanical vibration generated by the compressor or pipeline from being transmitted and amplified outward through the metal box (that is, reduce the resonance of the box). Provide slight damping: Absorb part of the vibration energy and convert it into tiny heat energy.
