Aramid-silicone composite fabric is an advanced composite material using high-strength, flame-retardant aramid fabric as a skeleton and coated with a temperature-resistant and corrosion-resistant silicone rubber layer. It is designed for high-temperature, flammable, highly corrosive, high-wear, or environments requiring strict fire-prevention, sealing, and insulation, and is a key material in industrial safety and high-performance applications.

 

Excellent High-Temperature Resistance

Aramid Fiber: Inherently possesses high thermal stability (decomposition temperature >500°C), does not melt or drip at high temperatures, and maintains strength and dimensional stability.

Silicone Rubber: Has a wide operating temperature range (typically between -60°C and +250°C, short-term up to 300°C or more), and is not easily aged, hardened, or cracked at high temperatures.

Composite Effect: The combination of both results in excellent performance of the composite material under continuous high temperatures and instantaneous high temperatures (such as sparks and welding slag splashes).

Excellent Flame Retardant and Fire Prevention Performance

Aramid Fiber: Inherently flame-retardant (LOI >28), does not aid combustion when exposed to fire, and self-extinguishes when removed from the fire source.

Silicone Rubber: Is also a flame-retardant material.

Composite Effect: The composite fabric has a high flame-retardant rating, can effectively prevent flame spread, and provides excellent fire protection.

High Strength, High Modulus, Wear Resistance

Aramid Fiber: Possesses high strength (specific strength is 5-6 times that of steel wire) and modulus, and excellent impact resistance, cut resistance, and wear resistance.

Composite Effect: The aramid fabric, as the skeleton, gives the composite material high mechanical strength and tear resistance, puncture resistance, and wear resistance, extending its service life.

Excellent Chemical Corrosion Resistance

Silicone Rubber: Exhibits excellent resistance to most acid, alkali, salt solutions, oils, and solvents (except strong acids, strong alkalis, and some solvents).

Composite Effect: The silicone rubber coating protects the aramid fiber from chemical corrosion, allowing the material to operate stably in various chemical environments.

Good Electrical Insulation

Aramid fiber and silicone rubber are both excellent electrical insulating materials. After compositing, they have high dielectric strength and volume resistivity, suitable for occasions requiring insulation protection.

Low Smoke and Low Toxicity

During combustion or high-temperature decomposition, the amount of smoke and toxic gases produced is relatively small, meeting modern safety and environmental protection requirements.

Weather Resistance, Anti-aging

Silicone Rubber: Possesses excellent ozone resistance, ultraviolet radiation resistance, and weather resistance, and is not easily aged or cracked.

Composite Effect: It can be used outdoors or in harsh climates for a long time, maintaining stable performance.

Good Flexibility, Easy Processing

The material as a whole maintains a certain softness and drape, making it easy to cut, sew, mold, and bond into various shapes of products.

Good Sealing and Anti-stick Properties

The silicone rubber surface is smooth and hydrophobic, has anti-stick properties (does not stick to many materials), and provides good sealing performance.

High-Temperature Protection and Fire Prevention

Fire-resistant/Heat-resistant Clothing : Protective clothing, headgear, gloves, and boots for firefighters, welders, furnace workers, and glass factory workers, providing fire protection, heat insulation, and protection against molten metal splashes.

Fire Blanket/Fire Extinguishing Blanket : Covering incipient fires or wrapping burning objects to isolate air.

High-Temperature Equipment Heat Shield/Curtain : Wrapping furnaces, hot pipes, engine exhaust pipes, and thermal equipment to reduce heat radiation, protect personnel and equipment, and save energy.

Welding Protection : Welding splash guards, welding blankets, protecting surrounding equipment and personnel from splashing sparks.

Escape Equipment : Lining for fire escape routes and escape slides.

Industrial Sealing and Gaskets

High-Temperature Sealing Gaskets/Packings : Used for sealing high-temperature and high-pressure valves, pumps, flanges, and reactors, resistant to chemical corrosion and high temperatures.

Expansion Joint/Compensator Skin : Used in piping systems to absorb thermal displacement and mechanical displacement of flexible expansion joints, requiring high temperature resistance, pressure resistance, corrosion resistance, and aging resistance.
