Characteristics of Pre-oxidized Fiber and Aramid Blended Woven Fabric
① Excellent flame retardancy and high-temperature resistance: Pre-oxidized fiber has a high limiting oxygen index and a high decomposition temperature, making it difficult to ignite at high temperatures. Aramid itself also possesses flame retardant and high-temperature resistant properties. The combination of the two allows the fabric to withstand high temperatures and self-extinguish quickly after being removed from the fire source.
② Good mechanical properties: Pre-oxidized fiber has the issue of insufficient strength, while aramid fibers are characterized by high strength and high modulus. Therefore, the addition of aramid significantly improves the strength, tear resistance, and abrasion resistance of the yarn and the final fabric, addressing the brittleness and relatively low strength of pure pre-oxidized fiber materials, making the fabric more durable.
③ Improved spinnability and comfort: Pre-oxidized fiber has poor spinnability, but blending with aramid improves this property. The resulting woven fabric feels relatively soft, enhancing wearing characteristics and comfort.
④ Dimensional stability and thermal stability: The woven structure itself has good dimensional stability. Especially at high temperatures, this fabric can maintain its shape and structural integrity, resisting shrinkage or deformation, which is crucial for protective applications.
Applications of Pre-oxidized Fiber and Aramid Blended Woven Fabric
1. High-temperature protective clothing
Protective clothing for high-temperature operations in industries such as firefighting, metallurgy, electric power, and petrochemicals. Especially after aluminum foil coating, it can effectively reflect radiant heat and protect the wearer’s safety.
2. Industrial flame retardant and thermal insulation materials
Welding fireproof cloth, fire blankets, high-temperature filtration materials, industrial thermal insulation linings, etc. They effectively isolate high temperatures and prevent sparks from igniting.
Emergency escape fire blankets, curtains in high-end hotels and KTV rooms, and other places requiring high-level flame retardancy.
Including bulletproof reinforcement, high-temperature insulation tapes, and composite base fabrics.
3. Transportation interior decoration
