Aramid 1313 grid fabric is used for automotive silicone hose clamps and high-temperature filtration

Main characteristics of Aramid 1313 grid fabric:

① High temperature resistance

Long-term use temperature up to 220°C, short-term withstand 300°C (no shrinkage or embrittlement after several hours of exposure).

Starts to decompose above 370°C, carbonizes at 400°C, low thermal shrinkage.

② Flame retardancy and safety

Limiting Oxygen Index (LOI) >28%, belongs to flame-retardant fiber, does not burn or melt in air, and has self-extinguishing properties.

When encountering fire, the fabric surface thickens and enhances sealing, without cracking or releasing toxic gases.

③ Mechanical and chemical stability

High strength: The grid structure makes the warp and weft strength consistent, wear-resistant and tear-resistant, suitable for high-pressure environments.

Chemical corrosion resistance: Resistance to high-concentration inorganic acids, organic solvents, oils and hydrolysis.

Radiation resistance: Stable to α/β/χ rays and ultraviolet rays.

④ Functional adaptability

Adhesion performance: Strong bonding with silicone rubber and high-temperature rubber, it is an ideal material for hose reinforcement layers.

Main application fields of Aramid 1313 grid fabric:

(1) Automotive industry

High-pressure hose reinforcement layer: Used for turbocharger pipes, oil-resistant pipes, and cooling water pipes, withstanding high-temperature and high-pressure environments (such as engine peripheral pipelines).

Silicone hose reinforced fabric: The grid fabric is embedded in the silicone hose wall to improve pressure resistance and anti-deformation ability, suitable for large-diameter straight pipes.

(2) High-temperature filtration

Industrial flue gas filter bags: Used for dust removal of high-temperature flue gas in chemical plants, thermal power plants, and cement plants (temperature resistance above 260°C), with chemical corrosion resistance.

Hot air purification system: Hot air filtration for incinerators and arc furnaces, effectively intercepting dust and recovering precious metal particles.

(3) Safety protection equipment

Firefighting and industrial protective clothing: Blended grid fabric (weight 135–350 g/㎡) is used for fire suits and welding suits, which are flame-retardant and breathable.

Military uniforms and petrochemical work clothes: Enhance sealing to protect the human body when encountering fire.

(4) Special industrial materials

High-temperature sealing and gaskets: Used as heat insulation layers for aircraft fuel tanks and firewalls, or as high-temperature wire tube wrapping materials.

Composite material substrate: Composite with resin for bulletproof products and honeycomb structures (such as aerospace components).
