Aramid 1313 woven fabric, lightweight and high-temperature resistant, used for industrial protection and electrical insulation

Core Characteristics of Aramid 1313 Woven Fabric

Aramid 1313 woven fabric is a high-performance textile made from Aramid 1313 fiber using traditional weaving methods (plain, twill, or satin). The woven fabric has a denser fiber arrangement, maintaining the high-temperature resistance and flame retardancy of aramid while providing higher dimensional stability and surface smoothness.

Lightweight and Strength Balance

Weight (240g/㎡): Between conventional aramid fabrics (such as 70g/㎡ thin fabrics) and high-grammage thick felts (such as 500-800g/㎡), it balances lightweight and moderate mechanical strength, suitable for scenarios requiring flexibility and tear resistance.

Thickness (0.55mm): The thin design enhances material adhesion, suitable for composite materials with resins, rubber, etc., while maintaining breathability and preventing heat accumulation.

High Temperature Resistance and Flame Retardancy

Long-term temperature resistance of 220℃, short-term tolerance of 300℃ high temperature, non-melting, non-dripping when exposed to fire, limiting oxygen index (LOI) >28%, excellent self-extinguishing properties.

Although the 0.55mm thickness is thin, the dense woven structure can delay flame penetration, suitable for multi-layer stacking to enhance protective effect.

Chemical Stability and Durability

Resistant to weak acids, weak alkalis, and oil stains, chemical stability comes from the three-dimensional hydrogen bond structure of Aramid 1313, suitable for protective or filter materials in chemical environments.

Abrasion and tear resistant, warp/weft strength can reach 1600N/5×20cm or more, suitable for dynamic load scenarios (such as conveyor belts, mechanical seals).

Electrical Insulation and Processing Adaptability

Dielectric strength up to 100,000 volts/mm², 0.55mm thickness adapts to the insulation distance requirements of high-voltage equipment, used for motor, transformer insulation layers or cable sheathing.

1.5-meter width adapts to industrial roll material needs, easy to cut into strips or pieces, reducing splicing loss when compounded with silicone and epoxy resin.

Application Fields of Aramid 1313 Woven Fabric

High-Temperature Industrial Protection and Sealing

High-temperature hose reinforcement layer: As a reinforcement layer for automotive turbocharger hoses and hydraulic hoses, the 240g/㎡ weight provides burst resistance, and the 1.5-meter width adapts to the continuous production needs of hoses.

Industrial sealing gaskets: 0.55mm thickness can fill flange gaps, corrosion resistance is better than asbestos, used for chemical valve and pipe sealing.

Safety Protective Equipment

Protective clothing lining: Thin woven fabric fits the body curve, and after being compounded with a flame-retardant coating, it is used for fire suits and arc protective clothing, combining lightness and fire prevention performance.

Cut-resistant gloves: High wear resistance is suitable for manufacturing industrial glove surfaces, and 0.55mm thickness balances flexibility and protection level.

Electrical Insulation and Composite Materials

High-voltage insulation base material: 1.5-meter width adapts to transformer winding insulation belts or circuit board laminates, resistant to high-temperature and humid environments.

Honeycomb structure core material: Compounded with epoxy resin to make lightweight sandwich panels, used for aircraft interiors or high-speed rail carriages, 0.55mm thickness optimizes the weight-to-stiffness ratio.

Environmental Protection Filtration and Industrial Transmission

Medium-temperature dust removal filter bags: Tolerates dust filtration below 200℃, 240g/㎡ weight improves filtration efficiency, and 1.5-meter width adapts to filter bag sewing needs.

High-temperature conveyor belt: Used for the surface layer of conveyor belts in food processing and glass industries, resistant to abrasion and prevents high-temperature materials from sticking.

Processing and Application of Aramid 1313 Woven Fabric

Aramid 1313 woven fabric (240g/㎡, 0.55mm, 1.5m) demonstrates flexible application value in industrial protection, electrical insulation, and composite materials due to its lightweight, high-temperature resistance, and processing adaptability. Its specifications precisely match the needs of high-end scenarios such as high-temperature hose reinforcement, thin protective clothing, and high-voltage insulation, gradually replacing traditional chemical fibers or metal materials and promoting industrial upgrading towards high efficiency and environmental protection.
