Characteristics of PBO Braided Tubing

① High Strength and High Modulus

PBO fiber has a tensile strength more than 10 times that of steel wire, and its modulus exceeds that of carbon fiber. A single filament with a diameter of 1 mm can withstand a tensile force of 450 kg. Its mechanical properties are significantly superior to Kevlar fibers, making it especially suitable for harsh environments requiring tensile and impact resistance.

② Lightweight
Compared to metal substrates, PBO braided tubing reduces weight by 80%-85%.

③ High Temperature Resistance and Flame Retardancy
PBO fiber can be used at temperatures above 300℃ for extended periods, with a melting point of approximately 650℃. It also exhibits excellent flame retardancy and maintains structural stability in high-temperature or fire environments.

④ Excellent Electromagnetic Shielding Effectiveness (EMI)
Through metallization treatment (such as copper or nickel plating), PBO tubing provides electromagnetic shielding performance comparable to traditional metal materials while maintaining its lightweight nature. This makes it suitable for high-frequency signal transmission and anti-interference scenarios.

⑤ Fatigue Resistance and Corrosion Resistance
PBO fiber is not easily broken under repeated bending or rotation, and it is resistant to acid, alkali, and salt spray corrosion, making it suitable for long-term use in complex environments.
