Lightweight and highly protective: Polyimide nonwovens used in emergency rescue equipment and filter bags

Polyimide Nonwoven Fabric

Polyimide nonwoven fabric is made through processes such as fiber combing, web forming, and heat setting.

It features high thickness, high strength, and multiple voids.

Characteristics of Polyimide Nonwoven Fabric

1. Temperature Resistance

High-temperature resistance: Long-term usable temperature range -269℃ ~ 300℃, instantaneous temperature resistance up to 500℃ (such as electric arc flash explosion scenarios).

Low thermal shrinkage: Thermal shrinkage rate <1% at 300℃, avoiding high-temperature deformation leading to protection failure.

2. Flame Retardancy

Self-extinguishing: Limiting oxygen index (LOI) reaches 38~42.

Anti-melt drip: No molten dripping during combustion, avoiding secondary damage.

3. Chemical Stability

Corrosion resistance: Resistant to strong acids (concentrated sulfuric acid, hydrochloric acid), strong alkalis (sodium hydroxide), and organic solvents (acetone, DMF).

Anti-aging: Stable performance under ultraviolet and ozone environments, service life 5~10 years.

4. Excellent Mechanical Properties

High strength: Tensile strength ≥100 MPa, wear resistance reaches 10,000 Martindale tests (ASTM D4966).

Lightweight: Density only 1.4 g/cm³, 30% lighter than aramid, suitable for lightweight equipment.

Polyimide Nonwoven Fabric

Polyimide nonwoven fabric is used for the edges of rescue tent zippers and protective clothing linings, providing thermal insulation in fires or earthquakes.

Polyimide nonwoven fabric is used for high-temperature resistant gloves, anti-cut sleeves, and arc-proof face shields. It is high-temperature resistant and flame-retardant, suitable for welders, metallurgists, and other high-risk occupations.

Polyimide Nonwoven Fabric Filter Bags

Polyimide fiber filter bags are used in cement plant kiln tail dust removal systems, industrial dust removal filter bags, and chemical waste gas filtration membranes, and can withstand 300℃ high-temperature dust.

Polyimide Composite Fabric

Applied products: High-temperature pipeline insulation sleeves, arc-proof protective clothing, nuclear power equipment shielding layers.
