Pre-oxidized para-aramid blended woven fabric used in the inner lining of firefighter uniforms

Pre-oxidized fiber and aramid blended woven fabric

Flame retardancy and high-temperature resistance

Limiting Oxygen Index (LOI): After blending pre-oxidized fiber and aramid, the LOI can reach 40-60, significantly higher than ordinary flame-retardant materials. It does not melt or drip when exposed to fire, prevents fire spread, and directly carbonizes upon contact with fire.

Temperature resistance range: Short-term temperature resistance up to 300-400℃, long-term use temperature approximately 250-300℃. Some aluminum foil-coated fabrics can withstand 1000℃ instantaneous high temperatures.

Improved mechanical properties

Strength and flexibility: The high strength of aramid (such as para-aramid) (3.0-3.6 GPa) compensates for the rigidity deficiency of pre-oxidized fiber (1.0-1.5 GPa). After blending, the tensile strength is increased to 2.0-2.8 GPa, and the elongation at break is optimized to 5-8%, combining tear resistance and flexibility.

Abrasion resistance: The blended fabric has better abrasion resistance than pure pre-oxidized fiber, extending its service life.

Processing and functional optimization

Dyeability: Aramid fibers support dyeing. After blending, a variety of colors such as army green and orange can be provided, breaking through the limitation of the single black color of traditional pre-oxidized fibers.

Lightweight: Density approximately 1.3-1.5 g/cm³, weight range covering 200-400 GSM, suitable for different application scenarios.

Application areas

1. Firefighting and industrial protection

Firefighting suits: Withstands 1000℃ flame jet for 10 seconds without damage.
Welding protective blanket: Pre-oxidized fiber and aramid blended woven fabric, used in automotive manufacturing workshops to replace asbestos materials, environmentally friendly and resistant to flying sparks.
2. Aerospace

Aircraft insulation layer: Used for bulkhead insulation, can reduce aircraft cabin weight by more than 20%.

Bulletproof equipment: 50% aramid + 50% pre-oxidized fiber blended fabric used for bulletproof vest lining, combining bulletproof and flame-retardant functions.
3. New energy vehicles and civilian fields

Battery pack fire isolation layer: Delays the spread of thermal runaway, voltage resistance ≥1000V, suitable for electric vehicle safety design.

Outdoor fire-resistant tent: Aluminum foil-coated blended fabric used in forest fire fighting camps, tear resistance ≥500 N/5cm, combining lightness and durability.
