Aramid:
Aramid's decomposition temperature is approximately 400–450℃. At high temperatures, it does not melt but gradually carbonizes, forming an insulating layer. Its short-term exposure limit temperature can reach around 500℃, suitable for dealing with instantaneous high temperatures and thermal radiation in fires.

Pre-oxidized fiber:
Pre-oxidized fiber is a precursor to carbon fiber, with stronger temperature resistance. It can remain stable at 500–600℃ for extended periods and withstand instantaneous temperatures exceeding 1000℃. At high temperatures, it will further carbonize, forming a stable heat-insulating structure, suitable for extreme high-temperature environments.

Pre-oxidized fiber fire-resistant cotton is more often used in the heat-insulating layer of high-temperature industrial protective clothing or fire suits. It can effectively block heat transfer and is suitable for long-term high-temperature operations (such as metallurgy and chemical engineering).

High Temperature Resistance: Limiting Oxygen Index (LOI) ≥45%, flame retardant, fireproof, heat insulation, and heat preservation

Low Thermal Conductivity: Thermal conductivity 0.08~0.12 W/(m·K), close to that of still air

Self-Extinguishing: Self-extinguishing after leaving the fire source, no dripping

Lightweight: Density 1.38~1.40 g/cm³, easy to fold, easy to cut

Combination of pre-oxidized fiber fire-resistant cotton and firefighting suits

Typical firefighting suit fabrics use a three-layer composite structure: The outer layer is made of pre-oxidized fiber/aramid blended plain weave fabric, with properties of abrasion resistance and anti-radiation heat; the middle layer consists of pre-oxidized fiber non-woven felt + aluminum foil, with the function of reflecting thermal radiation and blocking conduction; the inner layer is made of pre-oxidized fiber/flame-retardant viscose twill, with the properties of moisture absorption, breathability, and preventing heat accumulation.

Pre-oxidized fiber fire-resistant cotton can fully utilize its high-temperature resistance and low thermal conductivity characteristics, working together with high-performance fibers to build a multi-layer protection system.
